Throughout the month of March, we’ll be embarking on a new project called Lions of March. Every day of the month, we’ll write and record a short demo, and upload it onto the Internet.

As a little extra challenge, we’ve come up with 31 restrictions (e.g., “No guitars”, “Use 3 or fewer chords”, “Use at least one bar of 6/4”); We’ll pick one at random per day and post it together with the song. We call this “Random Rules”.

Some (okay, probably a lot) of the songs might suck, some might turn out decent, but let’s see what happens! It’ll be an exercise in creativity, tenacity, and most of all, spontaneity.

Due credit to the daily/weekly projects by Japanese Breakfast (JUNE) and Jens Lekman (Postcards) which served as inspiration (and high bars) for this project.
